Intro to kayaking program
The program is open to those above 10/12 years, in good health and who can swim a bit. This is to ensure that all participants have overcome their basic fear of the water and we can then focus only on the kayaking!

About Goakayaking
We're a bunch of kayaking enthusiasts, with the goal of helping paddlers understand and manage the risks involved in kayaking, through peer learning and community interaction.
We believe strongly in the need for personal responsibility and safety on the water, while supporting each other, so we may develop our skills and become more responsible paddlers.
Most of our group activities will combine the fun of paddling with the joy of learning and helping other members and guests.
We will not just limit ourselves to the waterways. Many of us are avid hikers/backpackers with the desire to be outdoors. We intend to link up with the Goa Hiking and Trekking Association, the YMCA and the International Youth Hostels Association, to offer combined kayaking cum Hiking/trekking trips in the different and beautiful backwaters and bays of Goa and Karwar. Don't be surprised, to see a day trip/overnight camping expedition posted at a moment’s notice - so keep watching this site and be ready to go!
All we really desire is to enjoy ourselves on water and land and help others in the process.
So, if you think you may benefit from our group, and grow, want to learn kayaking, go camping, trekking, was uncertain and needing company, ...... join now and become active!
We’ll take the fear out and introduce the aches and joys of kayaking!
Have fun and stay safe.

Kayaking for fun and health!!
Sunday, March 8, 2009

Simply great! Easy to paddle, and steer, even for a novice like me. Got me wondering as to why kayaking as recreation/beachfun has not picked up in Goa.
I'm gonna do somethin' about it and that's goakayaking for you!
